Meadowlark Organics farm seeks full time, year round team member

3630 Ridgevue Road, Ridgeway, Wisconsin 53582

Inquiries and resumes should be sent to meadowlarkorganics@gmail.com

Farm Summary:

Meadowlark Organics is a diverse organic grain and grazing farm in the Driftless Area of southwest Wisconsin. We raise grain and forage crops on approximately 900 acres, and graze a growing herd of 35 breeding cows, as well as their calves and yearlings. Our crop rotations are often 6-8 years. We are focused heavily on direct-marketed grains for the local/regional food grade market: wheat primarily, but also corn, rye, spelt, oats, buckwheat, and dry edible beans. We process all of our own grain, as well as grain from other organic farms in our region, first by cleaning the grain in our seed cleaning facility, and often by milling flour and cornmeal in our sister business, Meadowlark Community Mill, also located on the farm. The Driftless Area is a diverse and delicate landscape. We work hard to maintain our soils and strive to improve them. There are also many non-crop areas on our farm that could support tree crops, wildcrops, sugaring enterprises, vegetable farming, and other livestock enterprises. With the right fit and a long term commitment, we are happy to support new, interlocking enterprises on the farm by providing land and infrastructure.
